Pillows in brown and blue

Na deze stof volgden er knippen, spelden en naaien. En dit kwam er uit. Nadat ze nu al twee weken lekker liggen te showen op de bank in een klein lief bakhuusje, liggen ze nu ook digitaal te showen in de shop. En die shop heeft nu ook een nieuwe knop hier op het blog. (Zo nieuw; het product op de tumbnail komt binnenkort ook in de shop)

After recieving this fabric came cutting, pinning and sewing. And these are the results. After showing on a couch in a lovely tiny home for almost two weeks, they are really showing digitally in the shop. And the shop has also a brandnew button on this blog. (I mean really new; the items on the photo will be in the shop very soon)

Party preparations

Zeepketting van mijn schoonzus

Vorige week was mijn schoonmoeder jarig  (ze werd 65!) en we hadden een paar verrassingen; een workshop zeepkettingen maken en een surpriseparty/barbecue. En raad eens; wij hebben de enige tuin waar zo'n grote partytent in past. We zijn er een paar dagen druk mee geweest en donderdag beloofden we Deborah iets kort door de bocht: "Morgen is het feest en gaan we in de tent eten."

Ze hield ons daar aan en zo gebeurde het dat ze haar ontbijt al in de tent at. Het zal zo'n 3 graden geweest zijn, dus erg lang hebben ze het niet uitgehouden. Ik heb de foto's vanachter het raam genomen; mij te koud!

Last week it was my mother in law's birthday (she turned 65!) and we had a couple of surprises for her; a workshop soap garland making and a surprise party / bbq. And guess what; only we have a garden that fits a large partytent like this. Being busy with the preparations for a couple of days, we promised Deborah: "The party is tomorrow and then we'll eat in the tent."

So she held us to that promise and she ate her breakfast there. It was about 3 degrees celsius; it didn't took very long before they returned into the house. I made the pictures in the warmth of the livingroom through the window.

Waves and glitter

Het nazomerweer is afgelopen. De herfst is weer terug, al is zo'n stralende dag wel heel lekker herfstweer. Een pompoen ligt te wachten tot hij in cremige oranje herfstsoep getransformeerd mag worden, de winterjassen kunnen aan en nog even en we lopen weer rond in echt dikke truien en heerlijk warme sjaals.

Glinstering in de gordijnen van het nieuwe klaslokaal van mijn meisje. Ze hadden een creatieve moeder nodig om ze te maken. En overigens ook voor het maken van de raamschilderingen. Ik ben er druk mee geweest maar nu is het toch echt tijd om me weer meer te richten op de shop en het komende 'holiday season'. Er is genoeg te doen; nieuwe foto's, acties, een paar nieuwe producten en zelfs nog wat schetsen die heel graag voor november uitgewerkt willen worden.

Indian summer is over. Fall is back, though this lovely sunny day is fall at it's best. A pumpkin is waiting to be turned in a perfect creamy orange soup, we are almost wearing our winterjackets again and soon we'll be walking around in thick sweaters and cosy warm scarfs.

Sparkling curtains for the new classroom of my little girl. They needed a creative mother to make them. And to paint Elmer on the windows. I was busy with those projects, but it is time for sure to focus on the shop and the coming holiday season. There is so much to do: shooting new pictures, actions, a couple of new products and there are even some sketches to be worked out before november.

Etsy Open

Ik stond gisteren in Etsy open op de aalmarkt in Leiden.. samen met Nathalie heb ik een treasury gemaakt.. Kom even kijken wat voor moois wij mochten verkopen! Etsy open is tot en met zaterdag open.

more piles

Stapels stof werden stapels producten. Die om 2 uur 's nachts nog gestreken en in een label gewikkeld weden.

Om de volgende dag af te reizen naar Leiden. Daar liggen ze nu bij Etsy Open; ik heb de winkel nog niet in vol ornaat gezien, maar volgens mij ligt er echt heel veel leuks. Dus als je de komende maand nog in de buurt van Leiden bent - neem een kijkje!

Het is een paar dagen leeg geweest, maar nu ligt het weer vol met.. stapels stof.

Piles of fabric turned into piles of products. They were ironed and labeled at 2.00 at night to be transferred to Leiden the next day. They're in the Etsy Open shop now. I haven't seen the final result of the shop yet, but I expect a lot of really nice items there. So if you are close to Leiden this month, please stop by!

After a few days without piles, the place is flood again with.. piles of fabric .
