Work in progress: moodboards for S/S 2012

De afgelopen tijd heb ik niet veel gepost van wat ik zelf aan het maken ben. En dat klopt ook wel; want in voorbereiding op kerst heb ik vooral 'digitaal' werk gedaan en foto's en shop aangepast, plannen gemaakt voor de komende maanden en inspiratie opgedaan voor het komende seizoen. 

Op mijn tafel is het al even geen winter meer..

Dit is het resultaat van browsen, schetsen, brainstormen en kleurencombinaties maken. Vier moodboards die elk een nieuwe lijn of een aanvulling op een bestaande lijn reflecteren.

De komende week worden deze omgezet in tekeningen, in de weken erna in schetsen in gebleekt katoen of al voorzichtige prototypes. En er zullen echt wel nog meer ideeën afvallen; ik ben vooral heel benieuwd naar waar deze collectie mij brengt. De ideeen zijn volop aanwezig en hopelijk wordt de uitvoering net zo sterk.

Lately I haven't been posting about my own work. And that's correct because I did mostly 'digital things' like  editing photo's and productdescriptions. I also made a tight planning for the next months en digged a lot of inspiration for the next season.

It's not winter on my desk anymore..

These are the results of browsing, sketching, brainstorming and making color combinations. Four moodboards, each reflecting a new collection or extension of an existing collection.

The next week will be about converting these in drawings and the weeks after about making trials in bleached cotton and prototypes.

And there will be the 'drop outs'; the ideas that didn't work out. I'm curious of this new collections; how will it look like in real life? There are plenty ideas and hopefully the'll work out nice and strong.

Nog twee weken en het is alweer kerst. Nu alweer. De hoogste tijd voor wat mooie vondsten van pinterest. Misschien dat er de komende weken nog tijd is om zelf ook nog wat mooie, pure kerstdecoratie te maken en te posten. En anders blijft het voor nu bij vergapen..

In two weeks it is christmas. Already. It is time to show some nice inspirational pictures from pinterest. Maybe I'll find the time to make and post also some nice and pure christmas decoration. And otherwise; I'll stick by staring..

Sint etc

Voor sinterklaas kreeg ze een schort en een baksetje met alles in het mini. Dus vanmiddag hebben we koekjes gebakken. Niet dat ze zo gek is op koekjes, maar wel op kneden, rollen, vormpjes steken en door het raampje van de oven kijken hoe mooi ze worden.

De sinterklaasdrukte is zo'n beetje voorbij. Hij was al op school, zwarte pieten bij de supermarkt en in het dorp, elke dag het sinterklaasjournaal gekeken, schoenen gezet. Het is mooi geweest. We hebben gisteren een gezellige avond gehad, lekker gegeten en daarna pakjesavond. De kleine meid liep te stuiteren en had het helemaal naar haar zin; het eerste feest van december hebben we goed doorstaan; op naar kerst..

She got a apron and a mini baking set from Sinterklaas. So this afternoon we baked cookies. Well, she isn't really fan of cookies, though mad on kneading, rolling, cutting forms and watching through the window of our oven to see her product grow and turning into lovely real cookies.

The sinterklaas hustle is about to end. He was at school, black Petes were at the supermarket and in town, we've watched the sinterklaasnews everyday, put her shoe at the fireplace a couple of times. It's been good. We had a nice evening. The little girl was bouncing around the place and had a great time. This was the first of the decemberfeasts; christmas is following up..

Het is zover; Black friday. Nog snel even voor sinterklaas inslaan of voor het buitenland voor kerst.. En daar hoort een sales bij. Dit weekend 10% korting in allebei de shops..

Mobile

Bloesem kids had een poosje geleden een give away van Frazier + Wing. Die won ik! Voor op de nieuwe babykamer. En voor wie het nog niet wist; ja er is nog een mini in aankomst en ja, dit is de eerste keer dat ik dit 'nieuws' ook op mijn blog deel. Nieuws tussen aanhalingstekens, want ik ben in maart uitgerekend en dus al over de helft en dat is ook wel te zien.

En over dit project.. te laat begonnen hoor. Na sinterklaas maak ik er een tutorial van, maar in de shop; dan had ik eigenlijk een paar maanden eerder moeten beginnen. Helemaal met het energielevel dat ik nu heb, gecombineerd met tintelende vingers van het vocht in mijn polsen. Ja nu kan ik dat eindelijk schrijven, maar ik zal er niet teveel over in herhaling vallen. Het komt erop neer dat ik in m'n hoofd echt veel meer doe in minder tijd en dan ook nog het hele huis gesopt, de zolder heb opgeruimd en er een fantastisch en vooral overzichtelijke werkplek heb gemaakt waar ik ook heel efficiënt kan werken. Helaas! Maar in mijn hoofd gaat dat in elk geval niet lang meer duren..

A while ago Bloesem kids hosted a give-away from Frazier + Wing. And I won! For the new nursery. Yes, there is a mini coming and yes, this is the first time I share this 'news' here. It is not really news anymore since we expect the baby in March, so I'm halfway of my pregnancy.  

And about this project.. I started too late. After sinterklaas I'll post a tutorial for you to make them. For the shop I should have made them a couple months ago. Especially with my current energylevel, combined with the tintling fingers of the fluid in my wrists. Yes, I can finally write about that, though I'll not write about it too much. It is actually a fact that in my head I do a lot more in the same timeframe, plus I did my householding, cleared the attic and made there a fantastic and most efficient workspace. Too bad! Though in my head that will be accomplished very soon..

Autumn pics

Het was een grijze koude dag vandaag. Maar zo'n anderhalve week geleden hadden we nog even een hele mooie herfstdag. Met een heerlijk zonnetje en zelfs de twijfel of we een jas of een vest aan moesten.

Die dag zijn we lekker op de fiets gesprongen, tasjes, een mandarijntje, flesje limonade en een bal meegenomen en drie minuten later er weer afgestapt om ons te vermaken in deze fijne tuin / parkje.

De foto's die van de tasjes in mijn shop stonden waren gemaakt op een van de eerste warme lentedagen en dat is leuk, maar die blote armpjes en blote voeten in slippertjes moesten hoognodig vervangen worden door herfstfoto's. En dat is nu gebeurd. Op deze koude, grauwe dag zat ik met mijn neus in de fijne warmgekleurde herfstfoto's om ze te bewerken en in de shop te vervangen.

Oh ja; en dat van die verschillende schoenen; dat heeft ze wel vaker en zeg nou zelf; het valt toch bijna niet op op de foto's?

Today was a cold and grey day. However, about one and a half week ago we had this stunning sunny autumn day. We where even in doubt wether we should wear a coat or a thick sweater.

We jumped on the bike and took the bags, a tangerine, a bottle of lemonade and a ball with us. Three minutes later we jumped off and had a great time in this nice garden.

The pictures in the shop were outdated; they were taken on one of the first warm spring days of this year. Nice, though those bare arms and feet needed some replacement by a couple of fall pictures. That's been done: On this cold and grey day I digged myself in nice warm colored fall pictures to edit and replace the summer pictures with them.

oh, and those two different shoes is a common thing of her, and tell me: it is barely noticed. Or is it?
